GUIDE

A guide to the digital destination

The Corona crisis emphatically shows: up-to-date and structured data is the key to surviving in the increasingly fierce competition between destinations. Potential guests want to be informed comprehensively, online platforms and travel agents want to present a product that is as complete and up-to-date as possible, playing out tailor-made offers to their customers.

The Open Data project, which the GNTB is developing and coordinating with many partners in the German tourism industry, is a significant step towards successfully driving the revival of post-Corona tourism in Germany. On a scientific basis, this guide compactly summarises what has already been achieved and how we can shape the future of the digital destination in a comprehensible form.
